Working In a Hostile & Hazardous Environment (CBRN) Course
Introduction

CBRN awareness will equip the individual with knowledge required to survive and operate in a CBRN environment using full IPE. The action to be taken before and immediately after a CBRN attack, and any follow up action required.

AimCBRN - Working in a Hostile Environment
The aim of this module (Unit 4) is to detail the requirement for the CBRN and IPE training as required by the Health and Safety Guidance for Managers and Camera Crews (HSE), and CBRN and NBC defence instructions

Policy
CBRN training for the hostile and hazardous environment is designed to give the minimum standard of CBRN training necessary for individual protection and survival.

Training
All personnel undergoing Hostile and Hazardous Environment Training are to achieve the minimum standard of training in CBRN and IPE required by the HSE, as described in Health and Safety Guidance for Managers and Camera Crews.

All training and testing is to be conducted by a qualified NBC defence instructor. CBRN - Working in a Hostile Environment

Records and Certification
All personnel successfully completing the CBRN course will be certificated for 3 years. This information is recorded and is available for monitoring by the HSE

Admission Criteria
The minimum age on entry is 18 years. The candidates must produce a fit for course certificate prior to starting the course. The course management reserves the right to refuse a candidate.
