Door Supervisor Courses

City & Guilds (1892) & Highfield (HABC) Level 2 Award in Door Supervision

 

Since the introduction of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) the role of the Door Supervisor has become more diverse, particularly focussing on customer service. Individuals wishing to complete the Door Supervisor module must first complete the Licence to Practice in the Security Industry core module.

 

The recognised Licence to Practice In The Security Industry qualification consists of four units:

  • Core Module Working in the Security Industry
  • Roles & Responsibilities of a Door Supervisor
  • Conflict Management
  • Escort & Disengagement (Physical Intervention)

The duration of the Door Supervision Award is 30 hours over a 4 day period.

 

Assessment is through three multi choice questionnaire papers (MCQP). Applicants must also complete an escort and disengagement practical assessment.

 

Applicants will need to take the relevant modules for the sector in which they wish to work or train, as shown in the table below, and also be required to obtain a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence on successful completion of the module.
